About This Tour

This unique opportunity takes you deep into Australia’s most remarkable private conservation reserves, offering unforgettable birding experiences. Explore Gluepot Reserve, a pristine birding hotspot owned by BirdLife Australia, where encounters with striated grasswren, black-eared miner, red-lored whistler, malleefowl, and even the dazzling scarlet-chested parrot await. Nearby reserves provide additional sightings before journeying through the vast outback in search of flock bronzewing, gibberbird, and cinnamon quail-thrush.

The adventure culminates at Bowra Wildlife Sanctuary, a premier birding destination in central Queensland owned and managed by the Australian Wildlife Conservancy. Target Hall’s babbler, chestnut-breasted quail-thrush, Bourke’s parrot, and the elusive grey falcon. Along the way, expect incredible encounters with Australian bustard, inland dotterel, plum-headed finch, and vibrant orange and crimson chats.
