After a picnic lunch at Martin Point, take a short walk to enjoy the views before visiting the Lizard Lodge — Christmas Island's native reptile conservation program. A shaded walk along Boulder Track winds through pretty forest — keep an eye out for red crabs on the forest floor and stop for a photo at the magnificent 'Grandfather' Banyan tree. After a picnic lunch at South Point Temple, learn about the history of this remote Chinese settlement before visiting the old railway station. The afternoon brings a two-hour boat tour departing from Flying Fish Cove, with the opportunity to snorkel in the island's clear waters. The evening closes with a Malay curry buffet dinner. Morning tea is served at Grants Well before a picnic lunch at the shaded gazebos on Lily Beach. Take a dip in the shallows before crossing the boardwalk to explore the rugged coastline and stroll to Ethel Beach. Return to the hotel for rest, then join the group for afternoon drinks at Rumah Tinggi, followed by dinner at a local restaurant. This is a medium-impact day. From here, head to Greta Beach to help collect ocean flotsam that accumulates on the beach and threatens nesting turtle habitat — a hands-on contribution to local conservation efforts. The afternoon takes you to Tropical Foods Farm to discover how locals harness the island's abundance of coconuts, before catching the ferry to Home Island.
